Chiropractic
Doctors of chiropractic assess disorders related to the spine, nervous system, and joints of the extremities and provide a diagnosis and treatment of these disorders. The primary goal of chiropractic manipulation, also referred to as an adjustment, is to treat areas of decreased movement in the joints, thereby increasing joint function which restores normal biomechanics and reduces pain.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is a form of manual therapy that involves the maneuvering of soft tissues in the body, such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments, to promote relaxation and alleviate pain and tension. It is a holistic approach to health and wellness that has been used for centuries to improve physical and emotional well-being.
Massage therapy benefits include reducing stress and anxiety, improving circulation, enhancing sleep quality, and increasing range of motion and flexibility. It can also help to relieve chronic pain, headaches, and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Cupping + Massage Therapy
Cupping is an ancient healing method that can ease back pain, neck pain, headaches and other issues. It uses suction to pull on the skin, separate fascial adhesions and increase blood flow to the affected area.
Contemporary Medical Acupuncture
Contemporary Medical Acupuncture is a precise peripheral nerve stimulation technique, in which fine needles are inserted into anatomically defined neurofunctional sites, and stimulated manually or with electricity for the therapeutic purpose of modulating abnormal activity of the nervous system in pain syndromes and functional problems.
Therapeutic goals and treatment targets are selected based on the identified dysfunctions contributing to the presentation of the symptoms. Often, contemporary medical acupuncture results in transient improvement or disappearance of the symptom after a few treatments.
